Jordan's Final Double Page Spread
My final double page spread has proved to be most successful and planned out exactly how I had it in mind. It is all placed very carefully to avoid the smaller text which is the article be caught up in the crease when the page is folded. The picture takes up most of the second half of the page and has been edited in the same way as the front cover photo was edited using brightness, contrast, cropping etc. I decided to make the larger text different colours to emphasise certain parts such as the quotes and also the word "Rose" to emphasise the imagery of it. I was careful not to put the text to close to the edge of the page to make sure that clipping did not occur during the process of printing.
Jordan's Final Contents Page
In the end I decided to make the girls on the front of the magazine the main picture which advertises their story much more and have put smaller images on the bottom all with page numbers linking back to the contents listing to describe the article's content apart from "63" which is supposed to be a more fun activity which doesn't need a descripton. The listing is set out clearly and has the page number contrasting against the title which both contrast against the description which is due to size of text and colours involved. The large text of "Contents" is used to label the page aswell as "Kaleidoscope" as that is placed at the top of the page.
Jordan's Final Front Cover
I am very pleased with the final outcome for the front cover of my magazine as there is a lot of sell lines around the page, the title is large and stands out very well also with a very recognisable font, the sky line above the title is clear because of the contrast of the colours of the two really helps them to become more separate, the picture has taken up the whole page which really helps us to promote the band and for them to become the subject of the magazine.
Fran's Double Page spread
The image is the main focus of the article, as are the quotes, this helps the reader now exactly what the text is about before reading it. All of the group had trouble with trying to fit the text in without it going over the border and so i had to have a white gap for it to fit. The title of the magazine is also eye-catching and red to keep with the house style. We had use different pictures for the double page spread, so we decided to put them in different clothes, this keeps the page looking new. The text had to be quite small to fit on the page, but i feel i have made up for that with the huge quotes.

Fran's Final Contents
In the end we used a lot of images surrounding the contents page to make it more lively and professional. I used as my main image a picture of my band so they were still the focus of the magazine. I also kept to the house style colors throughout, as these were key to making sure that all of our contents pages looked the same. Our logo is another main feature of the page to catch the readers eye. We also used the images as page numbers, this made it a lot more fun and quirky compared to other rock magazines. To make it as professional as possible i used the same listings titles as there were on my front cover.
Fran's Final Front Cover
With it being the front cover, I found it the hardest to make well. Covering all of the white space was the hardest as i had a whole body shot, whereas everyone else had a mid shot. I made sure that I filled most of it with sell lines to make it more interesing. We wanted to make sure that it didnt look like a fashion magazine, so we went with the red, black and white theme throughout the whole of the text as well as the image.
